I'm Maged.

I've been in capital markets since 2010 — equities, ETFs and currencies, across developing, emerging and global markets. Most of those years went into the models behind the calls, not the calls themselves.

I started on the buy side, running equity and money-market funds and discretionary portfolios, then moved into strategy, building the quantitative models a desk actually trades on. Read together it's one move made repeatedly: each time, toward whatever part of the job sat closest to the data.

The AI work came from the same pull. Spend long enough with market data and you stop being able to accept a number you can't trace — and most of what is sold as AI in finance is precisely that, a confident answer with no lineage. So I started building the systems myself. Not as a side interest: the questions I wanted to ask needed software that didn't exist.

I write in English and Arabic, and work in German. Everything I publish comes out of a system I built and still run — which is why, when someone asks where a number came from, there's an answer.

How I work

Deterministic at the core.

Models interpret at the boundary. Arithmetic you intend to rely on is never probabilistic.

Say what you cannot know.

A system that reports its own blind spots is worth more than one that prints a confident total.

Evidence before opinion.

If I cannot show the data, I don't publish the claim.
